The hubby and I rearranged the sewing room last weekend. It’s so motivating to have the space so freshly moved around. Here’s the thread rack my dad made.

My sister (check out her blog to find awesome recipes) is getting married in just over a month. I’ve been making lots of fun decorations including table runners, bunting, and circle garland (oh yeah, and napkins!). Thank goodness for pinking blades and circle cutters. That thing to the left of the scissors in the picture above is my circle cutter.
Daffodils will be the flower for the wedding so lots of pretty yellows and greens are in play.
These are the circle garlands that will hang in the reception room and twirl around happily (I hope).
120 feet of bunting will go around the nice big tent outside.
Besides the wedding festivities I’ve been working on a fun quilt for my best friend from college. She lives pretty far away so I don’t get to see her very often. And she’s been having some medical issues. Her birthday’s coming up and she happens to like pink…
Amanda Jean has an amazing step-by-step Star Quilt Along on her blog. In fact she has lots of amazing stuff on her blog. Please do check her out here. I’m especially in love with the ‘chains’ that criss cross the quilt. I might use that idea again soon.
I also love quilts viewed from underneath before they’re quilted…
I’m working on a fun pieced back from some left over block pieces. More about that soon hopefully!

Your star quilt time came out very nice. I did the quilt along too using red, white and blue fabrics. When the quilt was completed I gave it to my nephew when he married. Quilts are such special gifts. Your friend is going to treasure this gift always!
I love how your star quilt turned out. It is beautiful. I can’t wait to see it quilted.
Nice post! And I love your quilt and wedding projects!
I’m excited!!! I love you lots and lots
